According to the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), the product use for cleaning, carpentry, auto repair, gardening and many other household uses can contain ingredients that can harm people and Environment accordingly. These includes:

  • Oven and drain cleaning.
  • Floor Polish, paint thinner, strippers and removers.
  • Pesticides.

Toxic Substances in these products can cause harm if inhaled, swallowed, or absorbed through skin. At high does, a toxic substance might cause birth defects or other serious problems, including brain damage or death.

According to EonCoat, corrosion is the process of decay on a material caused by a chemical reaction with its environment. Corrosion of metal occurs when an exposed surface comes in contact with a gas or liquid, and the process is accelerated by exposure to warm temperature, acids, and salts.”

High levels of sulfur dioxide can damage trees and plants by destroying foliage and inhibiting future growth.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has found that short-term exposure to sulfur dioxide can worsen asthma symptoms and make breathing difficult.

 Overheating Engine; The engine of vehicle, generator and any system overheated due to the combined effects of the extreme environmental temperature and heat generated by the engine itself.  Fuel combustion processes, is the formation of tropospheric (high altitude) ozone (O3). Precursors of tropospheric ozone O3 formation are: nitrogen oxides (NOx), non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOC), carbon monoxide (CO) and methane (CH4). Because of the ozone in the atmosphere vegetation growth is reduced and aging occurs on the crops and forests. Solid particles in the air are classified by their size, their capacity of sedimentation and the possibility to penetrate the organisms.


Gases released into the atmosphere by fuel combustion process are: CO2, SO2, H2O, N2, O2, CO, NOx, PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), VOCs (volatile organic compounds), dioxins, furans. Lately it was started the separate monitoring of CH4 methane from volatile organic compounds, these remaining without CH4 becoming NMVOCs (non-methane volatile organic compounds).

Context of Findings

Corrosion is the prime enemy of equipment in storage, like tanks, ammunition, aircrafts etc. The variety and number of items required back-up a military, air force or naval unit is immense and while in storage, problems of operational availability, reliability and downtime are confronted.

            Rust-Corrosion is jeopardizing Bangladesh nation’s economy, defense, health, environment and industrial development is now well documented and motivates a close look at what this country’s engineers, technicians and other practitioners who design, manufacture, build and maintain the national infrastructures.

            The cost associates with rust-corrosion, although largely hidden, are born by every consumers, users and producers. There are enormous, estimated at 3.1% of the gross domestic production (GDP).

 On the other hand, traditional chemicals contained acid, CO,CO2, Hydrochloric acid, Prophet, SO2, crude salt, Hydrocarbon, etc which causes dangerous human health risk as; Cancer, Asthma and breathing problem. Atmospheric Rust-Corrosion causes Particular Materials PM (PM10, PM2.5) in air.

Engine overheating and combustion are the source of bad smoke and a biggest source of air pollution; parameters are Sox, Nox, CO2, SO2,HM(Humidity) and PM.

In addition to the effects on human and wildlife health and survival of leaks resulting form corrosion, there is the society cost of injury or death from corrosion-related accident such as bridge collapse or the corrosion related failure of medical implants and device.

Hypothesis 01. Rust-Corrosion and Engine over heating problem, the major sources of Carbon Emission, Air Pollution and Climate Condition as well tremendous risks for health & country development. Climate Action ; Co-benefit of Air pollution.

Hypothesis 02. Private Sector, Specially Import sector can play the vital role for the Resilience Action to Climate as per Global Regulation. Where as the initiative can effected by  negative influences i.e. a secondary source of Pollution that is going right now.

For example: In developed country, chemical business are handling by experienced and knowledgeable entrepreneur but in LDCs like Bangladesh, the business sector of local whole sale market controlled by the peoples who have been working once upon a time at any related organization. Wholesaler and Retailer shops are presenting as like as a coffee shop. And the shop owner have so many recipes without having any knowledge of chemical properties, SDS, TDS, substances, reaction result, cause-effect, labeling priorities etc.
